The 5th graders completed a creative assignment in science. They used food to make a 3D model of a cell. They selected food (fruits, sweets, etc.) of a similar texture and shape of the different parts of a cell (nucelus, cytoplasm, organelles, etc.). After, they constructed an entire cell, putting the food in the location of the different parts of the cell.
